About Chinese Crested
The Chinese Crested, also known as the Puff, is one of the most easily recognisable breeds in the world thanks to its elegant, hairless body and charming tufts of hair on the head, ears, neck, and lower legs. There are actually two varieties of this breed — the Hairless and the Powder Puff. The Powder Puff has a soft undercoat covered by a fine, silky veil of long hair, giving it a completely different yet equally appealing look. Despite their delicate appearance, Chinese Cresteds are lively, affectionate, and intelligent companions. They form strong bonds with their families and love being close to their people, often choosing to curl up beside them for warmth and comfort. These dogs are well-suited to apartment living and require minimal exercise, though they do enjoy playtime and short walks. The Hairless variety needs skin care protection from the sun and cold, while the Powder Puff requires regular grooming to prevent matting. With proper care and affection, Chinese Cresteds make loyal, playful, and loving pets.
