About Scottish Terrier
The Scottish Terrier, also known as the Scottie or Aberdeenie, is a small but confident and spirited dog with a big personality. Originally bred in Scotland to hunt foxes and vermin, this distinctive breed is now cherished worldwide as a loyal and affectionate family companion. Recognised by its sturdy build, wiry double coat, and signature beard and eyebrows, the Scottie has a charming and dignified appearance. While black is the most common coat colour, brindle and wheaten are also accepted within the breed standard. Scottish Terriers are independent thinkers — bold, intelligent, and full of character. They are affectionate with their families but can be reserved around strangers, which makes them excellent little watchdogs. Despite their small size, they carry themselves with confidence and grace, winning hearts wherever they go.
