Belgian Sheepdogs are energetic and thrive when given a job to do. Without enough mental and physical stimulation, they can become restless and anxious. Their protective instincts are strong, so early socialization is essential to prevent territorial or overguarding behaviors.
Their dense double coat requires regular brushing, especially during seasonal shedding. While not overly difficult to groom, their coat benefits from consistent upkeep. This breed is not ideal for sedentary homes but excels in environments where they can work, train, and interact closely with their humans.
